When you arrive at Nice airport...
The trip to Cannes is about 30 minutes. Do not rent a car, you have nothing to do with it at Cannes, where you can get to most on foot or by bus. Let also be taking a taxi, it costs at least 100 euros.
Instead, go out to the bus terminal, located just off the airport, buy a ticket to Route 210 that runs directly to Cannes by motorway. The trip takes approx. 40 minutes. It departs every half hour. Tickets for the bus may be bought at the ticket office just outside ther airport or when departing from Cannes - in the bus.
